Exhibitions Manager

Salary £20,000 per annum

The JORVIK Group (York Archaeological Trust) are looking to employ an enthusiastic and experienced Exhibitions Manager to develop and manage both existing and new exhibitions within the Trusts attractions and touring exhibitions programme, including new exhibition-based projects across the Trust.

This new, exciting, and highly varied position will require you to be self-motivated and capable of managing multiple projects at any given time. You will have experience of working in a similar environment or on similar projects, with a sound knowledge of exhibition development, design, and delivery. You will also be a qualified driver as the position, although based in York, provides the opportunity to work throughout the U.K and potentially beyond. This involves working flexibly on projects in a variety of locations, and the ability to travel and stay overnight for extended periods (accommodation and subsistence provided) is therefore essential.

Visitor Operations Manager

Salary: £21,000 – £22,000 per annum.

Closing Date: 4th September 2017

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Visitor Operations Manager to join our experienced team. You will be an enthusiastic and dedicated individual who will be predominantly responsible for the Richard III and Henry VII Experiences located on York’s city walls, as well as management cover at other JORVIK Group attractions.

Previous management experience is essential for this role.

The key purpose of this role is to ensure that the attractions are delivered to the highest possible standards on a day to day basis and to ensure that all the premises, staff and policies operate to the highest possible standards, are commercially successful and are regularly reviewed and developed. It also includes responsibility for stock control management at all of the sites.

We are looking for someone with excellent customer care and communication skills, and a natural ability to think strategically to develop the existing offering whilst leading the team from success to success.

This is a permanent position of 40 hours per week. You will be required to work weekends and bank holidays.
